DAYTON, Ohio -- Detroit closed the game with a 16-2 run and upset 22nd-ranked Wisconsin-Green Bay 56-50 in the semifinals of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Tournament on Sunday.

Iyapo Montgomery hit three straight 3-pointers to spearhead the run, and Carl Pickett converted a layup and two free throws in the final 30 seconds for Detroit (18-10), which is seeded fourth in the MCC.

The loss snapped Wisconsin-Green Bay's 23-game winning streak, the second-longest in the nation to Kentucky's streak of 25 wins. Despite the loss, Wisconsin-Green Bay (25-3), which was 16-0 in the regular season in the MCC, will likely receive an NCAA Tournament berth.
